Each move has a customer service manager on location. Our trained staff will initiate the moving process with a walk through to ensure we completely understand your needs. We will disassemble and protect your furniture prior to handling. All high traffic areas will be protected as well. At the destination we will protect high traffic areas, place all items at your direction and reassemble them.

CRATING/UNCRATING

High value or extra fragile items may need to be crated for safe transport. Commonly crated items are large marble, granite, pool table slates, large glass items or high value art. Please contact us prior to the move date.

PACKING/UNPACKING

We offer full-service packing and unpacking to ease the frustration and stress that can be associated with moving. Our professional packers will organize, safeguard, and package your items to ensure safe transport. Once at the final destination, we can unpack and discard materials as well. You may elect to do some of this yourself and ask for assistance to complete if needed. If desired, please contact us for an estimate.

Self-packing tips:

The boxes that you use are important. It is unsafe to use second hand boxes. Most moving companies and storage facilities sell moving boxes. All boxes need to be filled completely to keep the box from collapsing during transport. Use packing paper to fill the bottom and tops of boxes. Each item in the box should be wrapped individually. Glass items should be packed vertically.

Please follow the guidelines below for box usage.

• Small boxes - These boxes are designed to handle heavy items including books, photo albums, video's, CD's and small fragile items.
• Medium boxes - These boxes are designed to be used for items that will not fit into small boxes.
• Large boxes and Extra Large boxes - These boxes are great for blankets, linens, clothing, and florals. Heavy items should not be packed into these boxes!
• Dish barrels/Disk packs - These boxes are sturdier and are made for breakable dishes. Be sure to use a cushion of wadded packing paper between the layer of dishes packed.
• Wardrobe boxes - These boxes are designed for hanging clothes. The bottoms of the large cartons can be filled with extra shoes or purses.
